Are you going to Strawberry Fair?

I've just got back from there, and it is much the same as last year. Again, it brought out my sarcasm generator on full whack, but I kept my tongue. It was only to myself that I noted the irony of the "Love music, Hate racism" banner behind the big stage, as an incitement to hate. In fact, I didn't even snigger when I passed a man advertising "big ass burritos" and, as I always do, wilfully mishyphenated it, this case also being an instance of this specialisation.

The one thing that made it worthwhile for me was the tent of The Society of Extras, which as I walked past it was playing The Boogie-Woogie Bugle Boy from Company B, a song I haven't heard in yonks. How sad.
